Halloween 2020

Okay, so, Landon had originally picked out an expensive costume.  Liam's wasn't bad.  Then we had corona to deal with and nobody knew if Halloween was happening at that point in the year.  I told Landon we could hold off on his costume and find something practical and fun.  And by practical, I meant let's find a costume with a mask so we at least have that part covered.  Well, as it turned out, the boys were excited about the light up masks we found.  My next thought, "Masks, hoodies, jeans, and tennis shoes?"  Brilliant!  I mean, how awesome was that?!  Comfort, warmth, and their faces are covered?  Yes, please!  The pictures were fun, too.  The boys had a blast!

The neighborhood had decided that sitting our candy out at the end of our drive would be ideal.  We agreed to wear masks (unless we were far enough away) and gloves if we were handing out candy.  Some of our neighbors made a candy chute out of PVC pipe for their front porch steps.  So cool!  I love our neighborhood and we all had so much fun while staying safe.

My friend Kim didn't come this year.  Our boys are growing up so we knew time was approaching that it wasn't going to happen anymore.  Dylan and Aden are wanting to spend time with their friends now, whether that's trick-or-treating closer to home, going to friends' houses, parties, etc.  It's sad, but we had a great run since Landon was about five, I think.  That's a long time!

Oh, and this was the first time ever the boys went on their own.  Aaron and I stayed behind and gave out candy.  The boys finished up fairly early so Liam sat with us.  It was such a great night!

Don't worry, we were sitting far enough away from our cauldron of candy.   We started to give it out and then put the bucket at the end of our driveway to make it easier and safer for everyone.

I took a turn with the mask.  Boo!
