Christmas 2020

Christmas definitely looked a little different this year.  It was sad not hosting our annual Christmas get-together, but with some family having been infected with Covid and my mom being susceptible to viruses, we canceled.  We just didn't want to take our chances with that many people.  Having said that, it was a very stress-free holiday.  My anxiety took a nice break.  It was simple and quiet and it was nice.  So nice, in fact, I talked to Aaron about canceling altogether.  We agreed that we will probably wait until my mom passes because that will take away from her Christmas magic.

I finally did some cute things with our elves, Emmett and Eleanor.  I would take a picture of their arrival and maybe snap a couple of pictures in the past, but this year I made an effort.  I did it more for myself than for Liam.  It was actually really fun!  I might just do it again next year.

Aaron's parents came over after Christmas to give the boys their presents.  Luckily it was fairly nice outside so we could hang out on the deck and visit.  Again, it was a weird holiday.  We had coffee and lit the gas firepit for extra warmth.  It was a great time and we were happy to see them.

Overall, it was a great Christmas given the circumstances.  Some deliveries were late arriving or didn't show up at all.  It's okay, it's tough on everyone.  I hope everyone had a great Christmas!

It snowed!  We had a white Christmas!
