Liam was more excited about his birthday this year than any other year. Not sure why. He had me countdown the days on the calendar to let him know how many more he had left. He talked about the big day
constantly. He asked for only a few things. He wanted to go shopping to get ideas for his list. It was pure craziness seeing this boy
really come out of his shell. I didn't know what was happening. Is he getting bigger? Is it because his friends were having parties? Is it because he has more friends now than he ever did? It's still a mystery. We decided against having a party for him because he still gets overwhelmed by a lot of stimulation. Better, but still happens. He mentioned the party idea once and that was the end of it. Maybe down the road, maybe.
He had a great birthday! He got everything that he asked for and played for what seemed like hours post opening gifts. Aaron's parents visited, too. He asked for a Hulk action figure this year so he could add to his collection. He slept with it for a few days. I guess that's his way of "breaking them in" or "welcoming" them. Either way, it was endearing.
I love how my kiddos are more about quality over quantity when it comes to gifts. They don't ask for much, BUT what they want they
really want.
