Is it me or does this year seem like it is flying? I think I blinked one too many times, to be quite honest. Seriously, I can't believe we're already at the end of the year. I was just talking with someone the other day about how time seems to be going by quicker the older we get. The school years seem shorter, summer goes by at Mach speeds, and my kids are growing like weeds! Time can slow down anytime now. But here we are cooking for Thanksgiving and enjoying some delicious turkey and prepping for sales and getting ready to spend a small fortune on our kids. Everything is so expensive these days. Thankfully our kids don't "need" or ask for ridiculously priced items. We have been extremely blessed in many ways.
Aaron is the cooker of meats in our home. He is either grilling or making a mean turkey or ham in the oven. He likes to stuff the turkey with all of the necessary vegetables and seasonings to make it flavorful. He is dang proud of it, too. The smell. Oh, the smell. It is divine. While he is cooking the main course, I will throw some sides together that I think everyone will enjoy. I am and always will be thankful for these moments I get with my family. I am also thankful for the love we share and the memories we make year after year.
What are you thankful for this year?
