Happy 4th!

Aaron and I haven't been to our neighborhood 4th of July party in two years!  It was so nice to get back at it after going through the "crud" for so long.  It felt normal and I was so grateful and happy it turned out so well.  I always take pictures.  I love the memories.  The kids were playing, the adults were socializing and it was amazing!  Aaron and I managed to get a picture of the group of adults and kids.  I think that is fun to do at big gatherings and very much needed since we've had a few deaths in our neighborhood over the years.

The police and firemen show up for the kids in our neighborhood for the 4th.  They did stick around for quite some time while the kids toured the fire truck, gave them lessons on how to unroll the fire hose and soaked nearby yards, trees, and grassy areas to prevent any fires.  I love that!  It does help when the Fire Chief lives in the 'hood.  It was extremely hot and dry so they sprayed everyone who ventured out in the street, including my husband.

We had an awesome time!  Even the firemen got in on the action and went down the inflatable slide, as well as some parents.  We never disappoint and we always have so much fun.
