Fourth of July in the Cove

Our neighborhood decided to have a 4th of July street party so everyone could get together and have some fun.  There was alcohol, music, corn hole, fireworks, and lots and lots of food.  Everyone pitched in and brought a dish to go with the hot dogs and hamburgers that a couple of the neighbors had grilled.  It was amazing, and the kids had a blast playing games and drawing with chalk!

The president of our HOA called the local fire department to visit with the kids.  When I first saw the truck, my first thought was, great, someone had an accident already!  I later realized what they were doing there.  I mean, a firetruck on the 4th of July?  Why would I think otherwise, right?  Pretty funny.

Buddies.

Ha ha, Kellie is a natural-born photo bomber.

Julian, about three years old, started taking pictures of people at the party while my strap was still attached to my neck.

In order for him to take more pictures, he had to smile for me.  This is what I got.

We had a nice display from our "perch" the next night.

I hope everyone had a fun, safe holiday!
