Our Every Day Life

Sometimes I forget to get shots of the real stuff going on in our house.  It's definitely not all lollipops and rainbows and the kids typically do their own thing.  Sometimes it's chilling out on our couch, in a chair, at the table, in their rooms or in the basement.  It could involve phones, tablets, drawing, reading, or video games.  Sometimes it could just be watching TV or a favorite movie.  Every once in a while Liam will disappear to his room and build something or play with cars.  Needless to say, it's very easy going in our house now that the boys are older.  It's actually quite nice.

Liam came down with a bug a while ago.  During that time, he didn't want to be alone and wanted to be around us while he was recovering.  He loves noise while he sleeps and he's petrified of the dark.  Well, a lightbulb went off and we remembered the air mattress we had stored downstairs.  It only took that one time and he was hooked.  It was a 24/7 sleepover party in the middle of our living room for a week straight.  Finally, I told Liam that he can only get it out on the weekends so it's not taking up a ton of space in the living area.  He was good with that, but I will say that he counts down the days until the weekend now.

Liam is still stuck on chicken nuggets, chocolate milk, and hotdogs, but he's found a new love - pizza!  Cheese pizza to be more specific.  He requests store bought pizza all the time now.  He will ask me to cook a pizza during the day, eat half for lunch, and then he will finish the rest of the pizza for dinner, every single day.  Our poor freezer is stuffed with so many frozen items that I'm amazed how we manage to get it all in.  As long as he's eating, I'm happy.  Some kids on medications lose their appetite.  I'm grateful that he never lost his.  That boy is skinny!  Now Landon is on a pizza kick.  I feel like my house has turned into a pizza joint.

Since we got new flooring, nobody is allowed in the living area with food and/or drinks.  Boys are messy and Aaron is super clumsy with his drinks.  So far, it seems to be working out great.  And it helps bring us all together for meals!  Win, win!
