The Saddest Picture

 When Peyton was with us Liam didn't seem to show a lot of affection toward him, but the loss has shown us a side of Liam that we never knew was there.  When he loves you, he loves you BIG.  He may not always let you know it by saying the words, hugging, or making cards and so on.  His love is hidden deep inside of him.  His love shined brightly when he saw Peyton after leaving the vet's office.  He cried and it hurt.  We have a picture of him on top of our built-in cabinet, along with his memorial candle and a bottle of his hair.  Liam walked up to it and started crying.  I asked him what was wrong and he replied with, "I just miss Peyton".  Me too, buddy, me too.  I hugged him and told him that he had a good life, but down deep I was devastated for this kid.  The pain was real.
