Football Madness
Be prepared. There are a lot of pictures taken during the season. Back in July of this year we signed Landon up for JV football. He went through the draft and ended up playing for the Cowboys, which was coached by Aaron's old boss. I think Jeff traded him for another kid so Landon could be on his team. I couldn't have been happier. During the workout training and camp the weather was miserably hot. The kids were dying in the heat, as well as the parents patiently waiting on the sidelines for the kiddos to finish up. We agreed on football only because Aaron used to play when he was younger. And, I guess football seemed exciting at that time. We didn't realize that it would go on as long as it did. Phew! It's been a long three-ish months in the heat, the rain, heavy winds, and bitter cold weather, but we all managed to make it through. When the season came to an end recently, I was a little sad. I knew that Landon would probably never see these kids again, providing that he didn't play sports for the same organization in the years ahead. I do know that some of the kids go to his school, which is nice. In the end, we were ready for it to be over. Three practices a week (six hours total) and games every weekend, plus photo sessions was a bit exhausting. I know Landon was worn out, too. We had fun while it lasted. Now we just wait to see what he plays next, if anything.
