Floyd Central High School Soccer

This was Landon's first year playing soccer for a school. He would sign up for CCSA in the Spring every year. What was nice about that is he would see old friends he went to school with from the area, and even a few from Floyd County, where we live now. But this will be his last time playing soccer. We asked if he would be playing in the Spring of 2020 and he said no. Landon said his heart isn't in it anymore. It stinks when their minds change after years of playing a sport, or years invested in an activity. You as a parent get used to going to practices and games and watching your kids play their hearts out and cheering them on. We loved packing up the car and going. It almost feels like a break-up when they say things like, "I want out" or "I'm done". Oh well, we just want him to be happy, and happiness for him is E-Sports Club, drawing, and his academics. Funny how growing up changes things. He'll find his way and we'll be here to support whatever he chooses to do along that path.
