The kids were out playing in the yard as the sun started to disappear. We weren't in darkness, but the difference in light was really neat.

Solar Eclipse 2017
This was a really cool experience for all of us. Aaron had to work, Landon was in school, and Liam came home early to view the Solar Eclipse. Regardless of being separated during the event, we all got a chance to view it. Liam and I had a great time watching the progression with our glasses. I knew it was a rule of thumb not to point a phone or camera directly at the sun, so I decided to take pictures through my glasses. Sounds simple enough, right? Nope. It was a challenge not damaging my camera/lens or my eyeballs during the process. I had to set the glasses just right to get the eclipse in the shot and try to keep the sun in focus. Not the most difficult thing I've done, but it was up there on the list. I'm very happy we could be a part of this historical event, even if we weren't in totality!
