Balloons: The Good Behavior Reward

Liam has been doing so awesome in school.  His report planner has all good things to say about his behavior.  He is getting transitioned to General Education classes more and more - up to 60 minutes a day now!  The teacher says he does so much better in those classes than his own, but still doing great.  I am very proud of how he is progressing.  At home, he's a little different.  He does use verbal aggression quite a bit, meaning he uses colorful language when he's tired, overstimulated, or frustrated.  This has been an on-going issue for awhile.  I finally told him that if he stops and also keeps his hands to himself then we can go to the store and he can pick out balloons.  He loved that idea, and it worked!  But, I have a funny feeling that we are going to have to do this for a long time.
