I made the decision to take the old chest of drawers out (Landon and Liam's very old nursery furniture, mind you) and put them in another room. We found that Liam was climbing on them, taking the drawers out, sitting in the drawers, you name it. Not only was it frustrating to have to put clothes back in the drawers over and over again, but it just wasn't safe for Liam at that time. Well, what I thought was going to be a short break ending up being about 3-4 years. In the process, we had bought the boys a dark cherry bunk bed because they wanted to sleep in the same room. Their old chest of drawers were white and old so I wasn't about to put them back in their room as Liam got older. We needed a change and something sturdier.
I feel like Liam is in a better place now. He can understand the rules and abide by them (when he wants, of course.) He knows that there will be consequences to his actions if he chooses to defy us. Here's hoping that everything works out and I don't have to move these suckers out again. These puppies are a ton heavier than the others. Please, Liam, be good for your poor mom!
P.S. Liam is a gigantic help around the house. It was no surprise that he jumped right in to help with the new furniture. We couldn't get him to stop for anything!
This is what we did on our snow day.
